What is the Nu voor Later subsidy?

Are you a self-employed person in the cultural and creative sector? And have you already thought about your retirement years? The Oog voor Impuls program encourages self-employed people in the cultural and creative sector to save for their pension. Through the Nu voor Later subsidy, you can have part of the costs of your pension provision reimbursed.

Do you already have a pension provision for yourself?

There are many different ways to save for your pension. However, not all savings methods are eligible for a financial contribution from Nu voor Later. You can apply for Nu voor Later if:

1. You save for your pension in a tax-efficient manner

2. The amount you save is converted into a periodic payment from the moment you retire

This includes deposits into your annuity account, the premiums paid for your annuity insurance, or your voluntary additional deposits into your pension fund.
Are you unsure whether you are saving in a tax-efficient way, what kind of provision you have, and whether you are eligible for the subsidy? Then you can ask your pension provider. In the frequently asked questions, we provide more information about the types of provisions and about terms such as ‘tax-efficient’ and ‘annuity’.

Do you not yet have a pension provision?

There are many different ways to save for your pension. However, not all ways of saving will qualify you for a financial contribution from Nu voor Later. You can only apply for Nu voor Later if you have taken out a provision whereby:

1. You save for your pension in a tax-efficient manner

2. The amount you save is converted into a periodic payment from the moment you retire

So, make sure you take out annuity insurance with an insurer or open an annuity account with a financial institution. Or, as a self-employed person who also works for a salary, you can make voluntary extra contributions to your pension fund. Then you can submit an application for Nu voor Later.
